Ardbeg An Oa

Inspired by the Mull of Oa, which shelters the distillery from the wild weather of the Atlantic, this approachable release was the first addition to Ardbeg’s core range for nearly a decade when launched in 2017. It’s been aged in Pedro Ximénez, virgin oak and ex-bourbon casks, leading to a well-rounded character that’s slightly lighter than archetypal Ardbeg expressions. As well as the classic hit of peat, there are sweet and creamy notes here, as well as dried fruits, liquorice and banana.
