The Chocolate Block 2021 marks the 20th vintage of this iconic wine- the usual suspects are present with this vintage compromising of majority Syrah, with the rest Grenache, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon and a splash of Viognier to round out this exceptional bottle of South African red wine. The 2021 vintage, although somewhat riper, shows lower alcohol and good natural acidity, which should develop very well for years to come. Vegan-friendly, this release was bottled at 14.5% abv from 3349 hand-selected barriques.
