Nestled on the serene shores of Islay since 1881, Bunnahabhain Distillery has stood as a beacon of traditional Scotch whisky craftsmanship. Renowned for its milder peating levels compared to other Islay malts, Bunnahabhain focuses on the subtle and complex nuances bestowed by time and tide. Introducing the Bunnahabhain 23 Year Old Triple Sherry Wood Finish, released as part of their line-up for the 2024 Feis Ile Festival. Distilled back in 1999, this exquisite expression showcases the art of Islay whisky-making, enriched by a progressive approach to cask maturation and blending. Overseen by Master Blender Julieann Fernandez, this release is one of 4,002 bottles crafted using whisky matured in a trio of sherry casks— Amontillado, Oloroso, and Manzanilla. This meticulous selection of casks imbues the whisky with layered, complex flavours, offering a depth and richness that resonate with each sip. Presented at 53.3%, this release is all natural colour without chill-filtration.
