Connemara Peated

Connemara stands out as a pivotal peated Irish whiskey, heralding the modern revival of smoky Irish whiskeys and reminding enthusiasts that smokiness was once a characteristic trait of Irish whiskey. Drawing inspiration from historical Irish whiskies, particularly those produced in regions like Connemara, this whiskey pays homage to the tradition of using peat, or turf as it’s commonly known in Ireland. Historically, peat was the readily available fuel for early whiskey production, making peated whiskeys a norm in Ireland before the 20th century. Crafted at the Cooley Distillery, this single malt has won over 20 awards at major spirits competitions.
