The Boarders Distillery pot-distills locally-sourced barley and then re-distills it using their specially-commissioned Carterhead Still, known as Puffing Billy. Instead of traditional filtration, the spirit is steamed through charcoal within the still itself, preserving the delightful flavour and rich texture of the barley.
